This project is the after math of me learning how to retouch a photo. We were given an old ripped up photo and had to put it back together using photoshop. I liked how you got to make something old look brand new. I found it challenging to make his face not look deformed. I used the crop tool for the background, i used the healing brush to make tones look even, and i used the clone tool to replace missing pieces and replace cracks.

Retouching Skills

retouchfinal

This project was to help me show the tools i learned on retouching a portrait. I changed my hair color, eye color, and touched up my eyebrows. I liked this project because we got to see hoe we could make ourselves look different. I found it challenging just to make ll my edits look real. I used the lasso tool to select my eyes and change them with adjustment layers. I used the brush tool with a pre-made brush to fill in my eyebrows more. I used the magic wand tool to select my hair and change the color using different adjustment layers.

Environmental Portrait

This project is an environmental photo. It shows me with a future career as a graphic designer. I liked this project because we got to show what we want to do in the future. I found it challenging to get the exact lighting that i needed to match the picture. I used the mask tool to take out the background of my original photo. After I added that to the design I changed the lighting of myself to make it stand out less. After that I added a shadow using a black fill of myself and arranged it to fit in the picture.

About Me

Rachael-About-Me_web

This project is my “About Me” collage. Using pictures off the internet that describe me and the things I like, I added them to a photoshop file which also has a picture of me. I liked this project because I got to use my personal touch beacuse all the pictures are about me and all the things I enjoy. I did not find anything about this project challenging because I used skills I already learned in previous classes. The main tool I used was the clipping mask, which “masks” the background of the images.
